As The Joint Commission-accredited ambulatory care organization, we complete the strict licensing and credentialing verifications required by The Joint Commission standards for each of our radiologists before they begin serving you. These verifications guarantee our radiologists are highly skilled, prescreened physicians who are well qualified to serve the unique needs of your facility.
We have a large, full-time staff of experienced professionals dedicated to completing all required licensing and credentialing processes, so our radiologists can begin serving client facilities as quickly as possible.
Each of Virtual Radiologic's clients are assigned a dedicated credentialer in charge (CIC) — a one-on-one specialist who works with you to complete your facility's licensing and credentialing requirements. Our CICs help:
- Reduce the time it ordinarily takes to complete licensing and credentialing requirements for our physicians to serve a facility.
- Reduce the amount of paperwork involved in the licensing and credentialing process. In some instances, you may not even need to fill out hospital affiliation verifications for our physicians.
- Reduce or even eliminate the expense of completing primary source verifications (PSV) for our physicians.
Additionally, because we are The Joint Commission-accredited organization, you have the choice of opting out of time-consuming credentialing processes entirely — expediting our ability to begin services. To do so, you simply have to agree to rely on our own, The Joint Commission-approved, PSV of physician credentials, a process that takes place during the screening of prospective radiologists and is later repeated during bi-annual reappointment screenings.
With The Joint Commission credentialing agreement in place, our physicians can commence
service to a facility and its patients as soon as technically possible — perhaps
even immediately. As an added benefit, by utilizing our Joint Commission credentialing
agreement, facilities will have access to our large staff of exceptionally trained
radiologists with a wide variety of subspecialty expertise.
